China’s COSCO Shipping has established two new companies with NMA Maritime & Offshore Contractors in the Netherlands.
The partners, who have done business together for more than 25 years, will form companies in the Netherlands and in the U.S., COSCO Shipping said in a statement.
The new entities will market the combined services of the two companies. COSCO Shipping has a large fleet of semi-submersible and conventional heavy-lift vessels. With COSCO Shipping’s acquisition of COSCO Ghuangzhou Shipping earlier this month, the fleet grew by 26 vessels and now numbers 95.
